Struggling with Hormonal Imbalances?
Suffering from PMS, hot
flashes, night sweats, loss of libido?
Afraid of hormone
Do you want to get off of them?
flashes, night sweats, loss if libido and PMS are a result of hormonal
imbalances caused by stress and poor diet. Lack of progesterone or low
progesterone is a major reason for these and many other health issues
including infertility, heart disease and osteoporosis.
Hormone Replacement whether synthetic or bio-identical does NOT fix the
problem. They help with the imbalance – but at what expense? Wouldn’t
it be wiser and healthier to address the cause of the imbalance as
opposed to ingesting hormones that may create other problems.
The Stress Connection…
Stress is a huge underlying factor for hormonal imbalances for one
simple reason. The adrenal glands will steal progesterone in order to
make cortisol, one of our primary stress hormones. The adrenals can NOT
make cortisol without progesterone. So the more cortisol the adrenals
have to make in order to keep us with all the stress in your life…the
less progesterone will be available to balance estrogen and
testosterone, as well as, run the other many functions that are needed
by progesterone. This starts that imbalance.
the graphic points out.the adrenal glands will first take cholesterol
and make pregnenolone, the mother of all hormones.
there the adrenals will either make cortisol or DHEA, testosterone and
estrogen. If there is constant or prolonged stress the adrenals will
direct as much of its available pregnenolone and progesterone to keep
making cortisol and adrenaline. The body senses that it is in that
“fight or flight” mode and realizes it is more important to run and
survive than it is to have a baby, because that is one of progesterone’s
primary functions -- to
we manage the stress in our life the adrenal glands should have enough
resource to produce hormones for each pathway. But when stress is
constant, it has a priority and will steal all it needs to make cortisol
and adrenaline. This causes a decrease production of the other
necessary hormones DHEA, estrogen, testosterone and progesterone.
levels of progesterone due to stress causes the hormonal imbalance and
leads to hot flashes, night sweats, loss of libido and infertility.
First things first…
Cortisol and adrenaline, as well as, insulin are primary hormones. The
body can NOT survive without them. Which is why the body will do all it
can to make adequate levels of each hormone. Estrogen, progesterone and
testosterone are secondary hormones. We can survive with little or none
of these hormones. We might not be the happiest person, but we won’t
die without them.
point is that the more stress in our life, the greater the demand for
more cortisol and adrenaline throws off your reproductive hormones and
cycle. DHEA is also known as the fountain of youth. Research shows
that people with higher levels of DHEA are healthier and have less
health complaints. DHEA helps burn fat, builds lean muscle tissue,
balances blood sugar levels, supports immune function and enhances
mental concentration and focus. DHEA is also needed to make our sex
hormones for both men and women. (click to learn how to measure DHEA
and cortisol levels and why they are important in determining adrenal
is very important especially for women who are approaching menopause
because at menopause the ovaries cease functioning and the
responsibility of producing estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and
DHEA falls upon the adrenal glands. If the adrenal glands are already
fatigued and depleted, and you ask them to pickup the extra work that
the ovaries used to do...they might NOT be able to do it and that is why
so many women struggle with hot flashes, night sweats, and difficulty
also explains how loss of libido occurs. The constant production of
cortisol and adrenaline reduces the amount of DHEA that can be
produced. DHEA is converted into testosterone and than estrogen, for
both men and women. Less DHEA being produced by the adrenals due to
adrenal fatigue and stress, will affect how much testosterone is
produced. Testosterone is needed for sexual arousal and muscle tissue
growth. Low testosterone and loss of libido for both men and women is a
result of stress, which affects our hormones.
same problem occurs for women struggling with fertility. A portion of
their progesterone is being used to make cortisol. Lack of progesterone
or low progesterone is the number one reason for infertility and
miscarriages. Again, it is all stress related.
Support those exhausted and depleted adrenal glands. As we said,
cortisol and adrenaline are primary hormones. The more stress in our
life -- it doesn’t matter if the stress is mental, physical or dietary
(blood sugar imbalances or digestive difficulties) -- you need to begin
to support those exhausted adrenal glands with Adrenal Fuel.
Fats are needed to make your hormones and chemical brain messengers. If
you are on a low fat diet, eating too many saturated fats or trans fat…
you may not be consuming enough of the good fats (fish oils, omega-3) to
produce your hormones.
helps balance those hormones, while
nourishing those exhausted adrenal glands so you can overcome those
symptoms. Add Sea Energy to speed up your recovery (Fish oils, the omega
3 fatty acids are needed to make our reproductive hormones that may be
missing from your diet).
