If you scored poorly on this quiz, your blood sugar is an important issue that must be addressed.  When it drops, it triggers various hormones and brain messengers (neurotransmitters) to suddenly rise or fall.  This is why it affects our metabolism, mood, energy level, hormones and sleep….

If your blood sugar goes up and down all day….it slows your metabolism and keeps your body from burning stored body fat…..instead, it will burn carbohydrates and lean muscle (proteins).

As your blood sugar drops (from skipped meals, wrong foods, or not enough carbs), your brain is unable to function properly….this leads to cravings, mood swings, irritability and the inability to focus.

Fact…you can never improve your health, drop those unwanted pounds, or overcome adrenal fatigue if you can’t keep your blood sugar stable.

When blood sugar drops - the adrenal glands must work harder to produce additional cortisol and adrenaline to balance your blood sugar.  This is additional work for the adrenal glands.

    Rule #1 for regulating blood sugar: you can NOT skip breakfast or meals.

    Rule # 2: Reduce or avoid processed, refined, junk foods….specifically if it contains high fructose corn syrup or maltodextrin.

    Rule # 3: Eat protein and good fats (Omega 3’s) with each meal along with some good carbs.  Fruits and veggies are carbs.  Remember it is NOT low carbs, but Slow Carbs.
